  • Adam

    Clinical Director

    BVSc BSAVA PGCertSAM MRCVS

    Originally from Yorkshire, Adam graduated from Liverpool University in 2010. After working in his home county for a few years, he joined our team in 2013 and has since completed a certificate in medicine. He has two Indian star tortoises and a goldfish at home, and is a keen gardener. He can often be found attempting to grow prize winning veg on his allotment!

    Practice Manager

    BSc Hons RVN VPMA

    After completing her zoology degree at Liverpool University, Katie joined our team in 2001. She qualified three years later, and now makes sure everything runs smoothly as our practice manager, while keeping her hand in nursing when she gets the chance! Outside of work, she is kept busy with her two children and her basset hounds, Rosie and Sally.

    Ruth graduated from Liverpool University in 2005, and spent several years working in north Wales, Bermuda and the north west before joining the team. She loves all aspects of her role and is even married to another vet! She has two young children and two dogs, and enjoys spending time outdoors, meeting friends and going running.

    Holly graduated in 2016 and joined our team in 2021. She holds several qualifications and certificates and is a graduate vet advisor, passing her skills onto newly qualified veterinary surgeons. Outside of work, she is a keen horse rider and walker and a member of her local squash club. She also has a cat called Miller and a dog called Flash!

    Jenny graduated from UCNW Bangor in 1995 and from RDSVS Edinburgh in 2001. She has worked in amall animal neurology referrals and exotics referrals before returning to general practice in 2011. In her free time, she enjoys line dancing, reading, gardening and learning how to eat fire! She also has a rescue cat at home, who has her wrapped around its little paws.

    Rachael studied at Bristol University and has enjoyed a career spent working across various small animal practices. She previously worked in PDSA hospitals and as a teacher at a university clinic, and now splits her time between Littlecroft and the PDSA, where she does charity work. She loves to learn new things, and enjoys speaking French and visiting France!

    Vicky qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1999 and has predominantly spent her career in Small Animal Practice. After a year travelling (and working) in Australia, she came back to the UK and worked as a Locum Vet. After some time, Vicky made the decision to settle in one area, allowing her to cultivate ongoing relationships with her clients and their pets, which was something she missed as a Locum.

    In her spare time she enjoys exploring new places, both home and abroad, but having moved home recently she is developing her skills in DIY and gardening!

    Rebecca

    Rebecca qualified in 2019 from the University of Liverpool and worked in small animal practice for two years before pursuing a 13 month rotating internship at the University of Liverpool. During her internship, Rebecca undertook a teaching qualification making her an Associate Fellow in Higher Education and produced a paper published in the Journal of Small Animal Practice entitled “A composite occipito-atlanto-axial joint cavity cyst in a cat. 

    Rebecca’s veterinary interests lie in internal medicine, neurology and imaging. To further her knowledge in these areas, she is currently undertaking a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with the University of Liverpool.

    In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys horse riding, baking, crochet and looking after her lovely cat Apollo and tortoise Darwin.

    Sarah wanted to be a Vet from age 12 and qualified from Liverpool University in 1986. She has worked exclusively in Small Animal Practice and gained her Surgery Certificate in 1996. Out of work she can be found playing music for traditional Morris and Sword dancing or trying to tame the garden, where 3 hedgehogs visit regularly!

    I am originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania USA. I did my vet degree at the university of Liverpool and qualified in 2005. I met my now wife in vet school and after qualifying we worked in mixed practice in north wales before doing a two year stint in Bermuda. We returned to the UK in 2011 when I started at Littlecroft. I enjoy operating and consulting but have a special interest in soft tissue surgery. I especially like interacting with the clients and all the pets! Out side of work is all about family and friends. My wife and I have two little girls Elizabeth and Connie. Between them, and our two dogs - Bear and Winnie, the down time flies by. But we do manage to squeeze in a nice glass of red wine or two!

    Hi everyone I’m Chris Bell have been a Veterinary Surgeon for 40 years in Farm practice for 10 years and the last 30 in Small Animal practice and am extremely pleased to join the wonderful team here at Littlecroft Vets. I interview candidates for the Vet School at Liverpool University I sail off Anglesey cycle and have a very busy family life with four grown up children one of whom is a Veterinary Surgeon and two grandchildren.

    Jenni has been working with animals since she was 15, and joined us as a trainee nurse. She is a clinical coach and has accumulated a menagerie of pets since joining us, having rescued and rehabilitated five cats and a Chihuahua! When she’s not working, she enjoys riding her horse, baking, photography, making gin and walking her dog.

    Lauren started her work experience with our team in 2012 and has been with us ever since, qualifying as an RVN in 2017. She has a particular interest in canine and feline behaviour, nurse clinics and bandaging! At home she has a little boy called Ayaz who takes up a lot of her spare time, as well as a blind rescue dog with one eye called Ruby.

    Kate joined us several years ago as part of our reception and cleaning team, and qualified as a nurse in 2021. She loves all aspects of her job, with the exception of expressing anal glands! She has a very silly poodle at home, who loves nothing more than being a giant lap dog.

    Sara qualified in 2022, and enjoys all aspects of her role, with a particular interest in anaesthesia and emergency and critical care. She has developed a range of experience over the years, having worked and volunteered at kennels, a farm and a small zoo, and has two bunnies and a poodle at home.

    Rebecca has always had a passion for animals, and studied animal management and science before qualifying in 2020. She has a large interest in animal behaviour and dog training, and often enters her own three dogs into competitions! She loves studying and developing her skills and can often be found going for long walks with her dogs.

    Charlotte joined our team in 2014 and has a keen interest in anaesthesia, laboratory work and inpatient care. In her spare time, she enjoys horse riding and travelling to new places. She is also the proud owner of a horse and a rescue cat, which she has hand reared since it was one day old!

    Emma graduated from Harper Adams University in 2014 and joined the team in 2021. She loves all things Harry Potter and Marvel, and has a soft spot for alpacas – she hopes to have two attend her wedding! She also has a kitten called Newt, who she hopes to adopt a sibling for soon.

    Ellie qualified from Myerscough College in 2018 and joined the team in 2019. She particularly enjoys caring for our inpatients and is interested in anaesthesia. Outside she enjoys spending time with her horse, Paddy, and exploring new places with him. She also enjoys walks with her dog, Gypsy, and cuddling up on the sofa with her three cats – Peggy, Dorris and Star.

    Liz has been part of the Littlecroft team since 2018, and is in the midst of her veterinary nurse training. She is very passionate about our feline friends, and has a cat of her own called Dixie.

    Cheryl has worked at the practice for over 20 years, initially as a receptionist then qualifying as an animal nursing assistant in 2008. In 2021 Cheryl started her training to become a vets nurse and hopes to qualify in 2024. At home she has a sausage dog called Cooper, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and 3 guinea pigs. She enjoys all aspects of her job but has a keen interest in wildlife and anaesthesia.

    Laura has worked in the veterinary industry for many years, and has rescued a variety of animals during this time, including dogs, cats, horses, wildlife and exotic animals. She has four dogs, a cat and two horses of her own, and two children who keep her busy with their various sports and activities!

    Kaz joined our team in 2015 after many years spent working with animals. She loves nothing more than camping with her husband and daughter, and taking her three poodles, Jack, Miah and Doug, on beach and mountain walks. She also has three cats called Jess, Hattie and Rex, and enjoys spending time with friends and family, having a laugh and being silly!

    Geoff joined us in 2018, looking for a new challenge after a few years in retail. He is an insurance advisor, amongst other things, on hand to assist with queries. In his own time, he is an avid music fan and enjoys playing the guitar, going to concerts and collecting records. He also loves spending quality time with his friends, family and rescue Westie, Nancy.

    For many years I had worked in retail but felt something was missing -animals! An opportunity came my way to join the Littlecroft team in 2006 and we are like one big family, we have many regular clients and feel they know me and would like to think a familiar face makes them feel reassured with there little/big furrys. I have just taken on a mum cat and kitten which are keeping me busy now my daughter is at uni. I have recently taken up cycling and walking too, never a dull moment.

    Lyn has been part of our team for many years and enjoys getting to know our team, clients and patients! She loves watching our expert team work, particularly during operations. She is a big folk music fan and a regular at her local folk club, and enjoys spending time with her dog, Teddy, her horse, Cade, and her grandchildren.

    Irene has been part of the Littlecroft team since 2006 and can usually be found at our reception desk on evenings and weekends, chatting to clients and meeting pets. She has six cats, two of which she rescued, and one called Pepe who she brought back from Italy to handrear! She loves listening to music, reading and travelling whenever she can.

    Claire has been with us since 2002. She enjoys greeting clients and cuddling puppies whenever she can! She is a proud Everton season ticket holder and tries to never miss a match. When she’s not watching football, she is kept busy with her dogs, Romeo, Pablo and Pip.

    Tasha joined our reception team in 2021 and has loved working in a veterinary practice for the first time! She is currently studying to be a veterinary receptionist and can’t wait to qualify soon. She has a daughter who loves anything animal-related and has a fascination with horses, and a dog called Kilo, who likes sneaking into her bed for a cuddle!

    Paula has been working as a receptionist for us since 2014. She enjoys all aspects of her job. She can be found all over the practice, from running blood samples, packing kits, cleaning and being front of house on reception. Paula has a collie called Bowie, who is her entire world! She is kept busy at home with her husband and first grandchild on the way!
